"I'm okay," Felix repeated, making a futile effort to brush some of the dirt off of himself as her words sank in. "I'm okay?" His head snapped up and he looked Kate right in the eyes.

"I'M OKAY!" he finally exclaimed, jumping exuberantly into the air before his sore back made itself known once more, forcing him to quit. "What a marvelous point it is!"
