THE CANON

“Life is short and it doesn't matter how good your grades are -- or how many hours you put in at the soup kitchen. You're not safe. Bad things happen. Things you can't control. Things that have nothing to do with you. And they will destroy you if you let them. Or you can try to learn from them. So that next time, you'll be prepared. So that -- even if you never feel safe again -- you can do your best to make sure that what happened to you never happens to anyone else. And if you're very lucky…

"You won't have to do it alone.” Young Avengers: Special #1 by Allan Heinberg

THE GIRL

Kate Bishop, also – if newly -- known as the teenage vigilante superhero, Hawkeye, has medium-length black hair, piercing blue eye, and a mouth capable of sassing Captain America. She's on the short end of average, standing at all of 5'5", and her body type is best described as petite. That said, being a teenage superhero -- even a powerless one -- has its perks. Years of self-defense training and the intelligence to use that knowledge properly have left her with the ability to ably kick your ass.

Kate exits canon during the final battle against the Skrulls in Secret Invasion #6 by Brian Michael Bendis.

THE CLOTHES

The following are made of Kevlar and woven Beta cloth to provide protection against ballistic penetration up to a 0.45 caliber, as well as effective insulation against fire:

* One pair of fingerless purple gauntlets.
* One one-sleeved purple crop top.
* One pair of purple trousers.
* One sarong-inspired purple overlay.
* One pair of flat, knee-high purple boots.

* One pair of silver glasses with opaque purple lenses.
* One strapless purple cotton bra.
* One pair of purple cotton panties.
* One long white cotton scarf.

THE TECH

* One bow, originally belonging to the Avenger, Hawkeye. A double recurve design made of reinforced laminated fiberglass, it's 5'6" in length, weighs 5.5 lbs., has a string tension of 75 lbs., and is useful for all-purpose shooting.

* One silver thigh-holster holding:

** Two battle-staves composed of two hollow steel-alloy poles modeled after those originally belonging to the Avenger, Mockingbird. They can be used as a bo or javelin and be broken down into two short clubs. Additionally, the battle-staves can telescope to twice their original size, creating a vaulter's pole of 8 feet in length.

* One silver sheath holding:

** One sword modeled after the one originally belonging to the Avenger, Swordsman.

* One silver belt holding:

** Six tracers that broadcast to a small handheld computer.
** One silver communicator.
** One arrowhead pouch module that has a spring-loaded door and a two-finger positive pressure lock.
** Six spare bowstrings.

THE ARROWS

* One purple quiver with two-ply leather construction, shaft clamp devices, and shaft separators to facilitate one-hand operation. To aid Hawkeye in locating the appropriate arrow with speed and accuracy, the arrows in her quiver are arranged in a set pattern, and the nock of each arrow has been notch-coded so she can tell by touch which arrow she is drawing. The quiver holds a total of 36 arrows:

** Twelve arrows with standard target-point arrows.
** Six arrows with three-bladed broadheads.
** Three arrows with Adamantium tips.
** One arrow with a custom designed EMP (electromagnetic pulse) tip.
** One suction-tip arrow (tip is covered with micro-adhesors capable of sticking to almost anything).
** One electro-arrow (generates a 21,000 volt charge upon impact).
** One cable arrow (contains spool with 50-foot length of .036 inch cable which unreels through shaft).
** One net arrow (releases 10-foot-wide, .036 inch cable net through end of shaft).
** One sonic arrow (emits a high-pitched 95 decibel sound, two seconds after release).
** One explosive-tip arrow (contains a composite plastic explosive that detonates on impact).
** One smoke bomb arrow (emits thick, bilious clouds of chemical smoke two seconds after release).
** One flare arrow (contains magnesium/iron powder flare that ignites five seconds after release).

** One boomerang arrow (contains homing-circuitry-controlled weight-shifting mechanism).

NOTE: This journal is a work of fiction. Kate Bishop and Hawkeye are the creative property of Marvel Comics. Kristen Stewart, contrary to the belief of most Twilight fans belongs to herself.
